Trip North 2009

JUNE 6, 2009 – We departed Toledo Bend on Friday, May 29th. It took us five days to get out of Texas as we spent a couple of days in Austin with Adam and Karyl and then friends in Vernon TX. Once we escaped the heat of the high plains, we crossed Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. We had an easy crossing of the border at Couts, Alberta and landed in Red Deer, Alberta with Bev Jano and family. We were greeted with snow flurries on the morning of June 5th. We took several days to provision for the camping/fishing trip to Lake Kinbasket north of Revelstoke, British Columbia. We hope to catch a lot of rainbow trout and dolly varden, before heading north west for home in Granisle, BC. Hope we have some big fish tales to post later.
