Hello WWAT people,
My name is Drew French and I am searching for an opportunity to be part of a
crew building a house or other structure using natural materials and
techniques. I am very interested in increasing my knowledge of the whole
building process, from the foundation to applying finishing plaster. I have
some experience as an intern ( HUGLLC.com ) building a strawbale house with
a SIPs panel roof on a rubble trench foundation. We also used cob for a
number of things. I can provide pictures and more info on that project if
needed. Otherwise I have basic carpentry skills and I have most of my own
tools.
For the last three years I have been developing my dry stone masonry skills
and running a landscaping business here in chilly Minneapolis, MN. I can
offer any building project my stonework skills and landscaping abilities
with confidence. I have a permaculture certificate as well, through Midwest
Permaculture.
Ideally I am looking for something paid as I have expenses I will need to
pay over the winter, but I can work around that perhaps. Also, the midwest
is where I am located, so that is my preference, but I am willing and
perhaps wanting to travel elsewhere in the country.
Thank you for your time! Email me at alienbuddha at gmail.com.
-Drew
