[Gaviotas] Visit?

Emily and Andrés,
The short answer from Gaviotas is "no".
They typically cite security concerns with having
what would likely be a continuous stream of what
would be perceived as "rich norte americanos"
visiting them in an area which is rife with
military and paramilitary groups. They don't
want to draw that kind of attention to their
peaceful village. Plus, they're not really set
up for tourism.
There have been a few organized visits (at least
one of our list members has been there) but they
are few and far between - and expensive.
Take a look back through the list archives for
more details. The question comes up frequently.
