I am preparing a English translation for those that don't understand the
'fuzzy' Gaviotas documents, and the first document will be ready next
Monday. I will
send it using the discussion e-mail.

My opinion about the Gaviotas Pump compared to the rest of the world pumps,
is very simple.... As Gaviotas developed it using very common materials, it
is available at very low cost. If you compare the cost / benefit in the
Gaviotas pump, you can see that the relation is better than the Paolo's
description.

You have to see the full system as one, not only the piston pump. The idea
of the Gaviotas pump is to use in a better way, the wind to pump water....
at a very low cost.... with a device that is very easy to install in remote
sites... without the requirement of technicians or/and experts.

If the pump works as conventional or like one of the expensive system
available in developed countries... is not the important idea in this
case. Technology available in non developed countries is one of the nice
steps of Gaviotas.
