Hi
I am interested in the community at Gaviotas. I am just reading the book A Village to Reinvent the World<http://www.chelseagreen.com/1998/items/gaviotas>  and am greatly intrigued by the people and their perseverance. I live in a community where we try to live together sharing all things in common. We continue to try and reduce our contribution to the destruction of mother earth. This is not always easy living in America.
Some of our members are in Paraguay supporting a project to build sustainable community with the indigenous people. We send members to various countries around the world to learn and share cultures and ideas.
Is Gaviotas still active? How are they doing under the current political situation in Colombia? Has the movement spread to other areas? Do they still receive people, and in what capacity? Is there a way to get in touch directly with Gaviotas?
