Dear All,
Thanks to all who attended and/or presented at the
1st MAE - Mechanical & Engineering Dept. Earth Day @ UCLA for
Engineers and Scientists.

We had a great audience, and most of all, some very enlightned,
articulate and wise speakers. Many thanks to all.

Special thanks to Prof. Mills for sponsoring and
Sarah Page MAE-Aerospace graduating student for helping organizing.

This E Day at UCLA was great, one of a kind.
One of the speakers
came from a nearby Native American Nation in San Clemente, an expert
of native traditional plants, foods, native living, language, traditions and thought.

The students for the most part have never heard that kind of discourse,
what the Earth has meant for the native populations of the
Americas for millenia and countless generations since the beginning of time.
They left with new ideas, new inspiration and new motivation
to do things in a different way and make a difference.

If the human species cannot avoid destroying
the planet because of overconsumption and greed,
than it is clear that whatever seemingly extraordinary things
it does turns out to be pretty much useless, worthless,
science or no science. That's what change means.

Cheers and ... eat organic.
